When veterans are transitioning from military life to student life. They face many obstacles. Although the GI bill covers things such as tuition, housing, and textbooks. Many find themselves struggling to get needed supplies, including college essentials and food. IWF is honored to “fill in the gaps” for our nation's finest. three Tennessee colleges for their Veterans resource center. What the Post-9/11 GI Bill does not prepare veterans for is the emotional and psychological stress linked to transitioning. IWF aims to make life a little easier.

To include active duty military, female veterans, and veterans and their spouse. An amazing time was had by all.

When Veteran Eric Murphy was involved in a motorcycle accident.  He lost four inches of his leg, only to have it pieced back together . When it wouldnt heal he became very stoic, withdrawn, etc.  The VA told him give it a year and lets see if we can get it to heal. They wouldnt provide him with a mobility device until that year was up.  So we supplied the need .
